Flexible CNA Opportunities Across Long-Term Care, Rehab & Home Health Settings in the Charlotte Area

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
  • Monitor and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, reporting changes to the supervising nurse
  • Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and residents in long-term care, rehabilitation, or home health settings
  • Assist with patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and safety equipment to prevent injury
  • Support nutrition and hydration by assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and documenting food and fluid intake as required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for patients by performing light housekeeping duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed
  • Communicate effectively with the nursing care team, physicians, therapists, and family members regarding patient status and care plan updates
  • Respond promptly to patient call lights, requests for assistance, and emergency situations in accordance with facility or agency protocols
  • Document all care activities thoroughly in patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or paper documentation as required by the employer
  • Participate in care plan meetings, staff training sessions, and continuing education opportunities to maintain competency and advance skills

What You'll Need to Join Our Charlotte CNA Talent Network

  • Active, current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of North Carolina, in good standing with the NC Nurse Aide I Registry
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider (AHA or Red Cross preferred)
  • Previous experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or home health setting is preferred but not required for all roles
  • Demonstrated ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients with assistive equipment, with the physical stamina to perform the demands of the role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first, empathetic approach to care
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and health clearance (including TB test or chest X-ray) as required by the hiring facility
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required for home health assignments in the Charlotte metro and surrounding Mecklenburg County areas
