Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting in LTC, rehab, or home health settings
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting changes to the supervising nurse promptly
• Provide compassionate mobility assistance, including transfers, repositioning, and ambulation support in accordance with individualized care plans
• Support patients in rehabilitation settings by encouraging participation in therapy goals and reinforcing techniques taught by physical and occupational therapists
• Deliver dignified personal care to home health patients within their residential environment, respecting client preferences, privacy, and independence
• Observe and report changes in patient behavior, physical condition, skin integrity, and emotional well-being to the nursing team to ensure timely interventions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment including making beds, tidying patient rooms, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding support, and hydration monitoring for residents who require nutritional assistance
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, families, and caregivers to support coordinated and person-centered care
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility, agency, and North Carolina state regulatory requirements

Qualifications We Look for in Winston-Salem CNAs

• Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification listed in good standing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum of 6 months of CNA experience preferred; new graduates with clinical training in LTC, rehab, or home health settings are encouraged to apply
• CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required or willingness to obtain prior to placement

• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends depending on placement
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and health clearance as required by the healthcare facility or home health agency
