Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation Settings Across the Memphis Area

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate
• Support safe patient mobility through repositioning, transfers, and ambulation assistance in accordance with care plans
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to long-term care residents and rehabilitation patients
• Report observable changes in patient condition, behavior, or skin integrity to the supervising licensed nurse promptly
• Assist dietary staff with meal preparation, tray delivery, and feeding support for residents requiring assistance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for all residents in accordance with facility and Tennessee state standards
• Document care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) or paper-based systems as required by the facility
• Participate in rehabilitation support activities under the direction of therapy and nursing teams to encourage patient progress
• Adhere to all infection control protocols, HIPAA regulations, and facility-specific policies throughout each shift

Qualifications We Look For in Memphis CNA Candidates

• Active and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Tennessee, in good standing on the TN Nurse Aide Registry
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Current CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider (AHA or Red Cross preferred)
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening as required by Tennessee LTC and rehab facility standards
• Previous experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the role, including lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods
