Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation Facilities Across Nashville

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene in LTC and rehab settings
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting changes to the charge nurse promptly
• Provide mobility assistance including safe transfers, repositioning, range-of-motion exercises, and ambulation support for rehabilitation patients
• Assist with feeding residents during mealtimes, ensuring proper positioning and documenting nutritional intake per facility protocols
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for all residents by performing routine room upkeep and following infection control standards
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests, delivering compassionate and respectful person-centered care at all times
• Support the nursing team by communicating observed changes in resident behavior, condition, or mobility that may indicate a clinical concern
• Document care activities accurately in the facility's electronic health record or paper charting system in compliance with Tennessee state regulations
• Participate in interdisciplinary team communication to support individualized resident care plans in long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation environments
• Follow all facility policies regarding fall prevention protocols, restraint procedures, and resident rights in accordance with CMS and Tennessee DHS guidelines

Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Nashville, TN

• Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification listed in good standing on the Tennessee Nurse Aide Registry
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior experience working in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation facility preferred but not required for entry-level candidates
• Basic understanding of medical terminology, infection control practices, and standard CNA scope of practice
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or willingness to obtain prior to first assignment
