Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehab Settings Across Colorado Springs

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene in LTC and rehab settings
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature, reporting abnormal findings to the charge nurse promptly
• Support patient mobility and safe ambulation, including transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and gait belts
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to long-term care residents, fostering dignity and person-centered care
• Assist rehabilitation patients with prescribed exercise routines and mobility programs under the direction of licensed therapy and nursing staff
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients and residents, including routine room tidying and infection control practices
• Accurately observe and report changes in patient condition, behavior, skin integrity, or appetite to the supervising RN or LPN in a timely manner
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding support, and hydration monitoring in accordance with each resident's individualized care plan
• Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings and contribute observations relevant to patient progress and well-being
• Adhere to all facility-specific policies, Colorado state regulations, and Reliant Healthcare Solutions standards of professional nursing conduct

Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Colorado Springs

• Active and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification registered with the Colorado Nurse Aide Registry
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum of one completed clinical rotation or prior experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation setting preferred but not required
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
