Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehab Settings Across Omaha

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene in accordance with individualized care plans
  • Monitor and accurately document vital signs, fluid intake and output, and observable changes in resident or patient condition, reporting concerns promptly to supervising nursing staff
  • Provide compassionate mobility assistance including transferring, repositioning, and ambulating residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury
  • Support rehabilitative care goals by encouraging and assisting patients with prescribed exercises and therapist-directed activities under the supervision of licensed nursing and therapy staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents by performing light housekeeping tasks related to resident care areas and ensuring rooms are organized and hazard-free
  • Assist with meal preparation, tray delivery, and feeding support for residents requiring assistance, while monitoring for and reporting any changes in appetite or swallowing difficulties
  • Respond promptly and courteously to call lights and resident or patient requests, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in every interaction
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams including nurses, therapists, and social workers to ensure continuity and quality of care across all shifts
  • Follow all facility infection control protocols, HIPAA guidelines, and Nebraska state regulations governing CNA practice in long-term care and rehabilitation settings
  • Participate in care conferences, shift handoffs, and ongoing staff education initiatives as required by the facility to maintain high standards of resident-centered care

Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Omaha, NE

  • Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification listed in good standing on the Nebraska Health Care Association (NHCA) Nurse Aide Registry
  • Valid state-issued ID or government identification required for facility credentialing and onboarding purposes
  • Minimum completion of a Nebraska-approved CNA training program; experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is welcomed at all levels including new graduates
  • Demonstrated ability to perform safe patient handling techniques including transfers, lifts, and repositioning with or without assistive equipment
