Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehab Facilities Across Madison

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in LTC and rehab settings
  • Monitor and accurately document vital signs, intake and output, and changes in patient condition, reporting observations promptly to the supervising nurse
  • Support safe patient mobility through transfers, repositioning, and ambulation assistance using proper body mechanics and facility-approved lifting equipment
  • Deliver compassionate, person-centered care that respects the dignity, privacy, and individual preferences of each resident or rehab patient
  • Assist with restorative nursing programs and therapy-directed activities to support patients' functional recovery and rehabilitation goals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents including routine room tidying, linen changes, and infection control compliance
  • Respond promptly and professionally to call lights and patient requests, prioritizing urgent needs while managing routine care tasks efficiently
  • Participate in shift handoff communications and contribute accurate, timely updates to nursing staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Follow all facility-specific protocols, Wisconsin DHS regulations, and CMS guidelines pertaining to long-term care and rehabilitation services
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams including nurses, therapists, and social workers to support holistic patient outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Madison, WI

  • Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification listed in good standing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; completion of a state-approved CNA training program required
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings is preferred but candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply
