Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation Settings Across Kansas City

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse
• Support rehabilitation patients with prescribed exercise routines and mobility activities under the direction of licensed therapy and nursing staff
• Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to long-term care residents, fostering dignity and a sense of well-being
• Assist with proper positioning, turning, and repositioning of residents to prevent pressure injuries and maintain skin integrity
• Serve or assist with meal preparation and feeding for residents who require nutritional assistance, ensuring adequate intake is documented
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident rooms and common areas, following infection control and facility protocols
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests, escalating urgent concerns to licensed nursing staff in a timely manner
• Participate in shift handoff communications and contribute accurate, timely observations during change-of-shift reporting
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, facility policies, and Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services standards of care

Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Kansas City, MO

• Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Missouri in good standing with the MO Nurse Aide Registry
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current or willingness to obtain prior to first placement
