Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation Across Jacksonville

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene in LTC and rehab settings
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature, reporting changes to the supervising nurse
• Support patient mobility and safe ambulation, including transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices in accordance with care plans
• Assist with feeding and hydration, ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and fluid intake, and documenting intake and output as required
• Provide compassionate emotional support and meaningful engagement to residents, fostering dignity and quality of life in long-term care environments
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests, maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the unit or facility
• Assist rehabilitation patients with prescribed exercises and therapy-directed activities under the guidance of licensed nursing and therapy staff
• Observe and report changes in resident behavior, skin integrity, appetite, or functional status to the charge nurse in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in accordance with facility policies and Florida state regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including RNs, LPNs, therapists, and social workers to ensure continuity and quality of patient care

Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Jacksonville, FL

• Current, active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the Florida Department of Health
• Successful completion of a state-approved CNA training program and passage of the Florida CNA competency examination
• Minimum of one completed clinical rotation or hands-on experience in a supervised healthcare or nursing care setting (new graduates welcome)
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including prolonged standing, lifting, and assisting with patient transfers
