Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting in LTC, rehab, or home health settings
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse
• Support safe patient mobility through transfers, repositioning, and ambulation assistance using proper body mechanics and approved lifting techniques
• Deliver compassionate personal care to long-term care residents, maintaining dignity and promoting independence at all times
• Assist rehabilitation patients with prescribed exercise routines and encourage active participation in recovery goals under the direction of therapy staff
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment by following infection control protocols and facility hygiene standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Provide nutritional support by assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary intake and fluid consumption
• Document care activities, behavioral observations, and patient progress accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems or paper charts per facility policy
• Respond promptly to patient call lights, requests, and emergencies while maintaining a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor

What We're Looking for in Our CNA Candidates

• Active and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New Jersey, in good standing with the NJ Nurse Aide Registry
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; completion of an accredited CNA training program preferred
• Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in a long-term care, rehabilitation, or home health setting (new graduates with clinical training hours will be considered)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification from an AHA or Red Cross accredited program
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the role including lifting, standing for extended periods, and assisting with patient transfers
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and person-centered care
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and meet all facility-specific health requirements including TB testing and immunization records
