Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehab Facilities Across the Philadelphia Area
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene in LTC and rehab settings
- Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, and repositioning using proper body mechanics and facility-approved lift equipment
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to the charge nurse
- Support residents during meals, assist with feeding as needed, and document nutritional intake per facility protocols
- Observe and promptly report changes in residents' physical condition, behavior, or emotional status to licensed nursing staff
- Assist rehabilitation patients with prescribed exercises and mobility activities under the direction of nursing and therapy teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents, including routine room tidying and linen changes
- Document care activities, observations, and resident responses accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with Pennsylvania state and facility standards
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, ensuring dignity and respect are maintained at all times
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams including nurses, therapists, and social workers to support individualized resident care plans
Qualifications & Requirements for Philadelphia CNA Candidates
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for reciprocity from another state
- Active listing in good standing on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
- Minimum of one (1) year of CNA experience preferred; newly certified candidates with clinical training in LTC or rehab settings are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated ability to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred)
- Ability to pass a Pennsylvania state-required criminal background check and meet facility-specific health screening requirements including TB testing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and assisting with resident mobility
