Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation Settings Across New York City

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in accordance with individualized care plans
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate, reporting abnormal findings promptly to supervising licensed nursing staff
• Provide mobility assistance including repositioning bedridden residents, supporting ambulation, and safely transferring patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Deliver compassionate emotional support and meaningful social interaction to long-term care residents, promoting dignity, respect, and overall psychological well-being
• Assist rehabilitation patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises and mobility routines as directed by physical and occupational therapy teams
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment by adhering to infection control protocols and facility sanitation standards consistent with New York State Department of Health regulations
• Accurately observe and report changes in patient condition, behavior, skin integrity, or functional status to the charge nurse in a timely manner
• Support proper nutrition and hydration by assisting residents with meals, documenting intake and output, and encouraging adequate fluid consumption throughout each shift
• Respond promptly and courteously to call lights, patient requests, and emergency situations while maintaining composure and professionalism in a fast-paced nursing environment

Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in New York

• Active and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing on the New York State Nurse Aide Registry
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; completion of a state-approved CNA training program required
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
