Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation Across Mesa, Arizona
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct personal care to residents including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene in accordance with individualized care plans
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and facility-approved lift equipment
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting changes to the charge nurse promptly
- Support residents during meals by assisting with feeding, encouraging proper nutrition and hydration, and documenting intake and output as required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents by performing routine room upkeep and adhering to infection control protocols
- Assist rehabilitation patients with prescribed therapy exercises and range-of-motion activities under the supervision of licensed nursing and therapy staff
- Respond promptly and compassionately to resident call lights, requests for assistance, and emergency situations in compliance with facility policies
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams including nurses, therapists, social workers, and dietary staff to support coordinated resident care
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical condition, behavior, or emotional status to the supervising nurse in a timely and accurate manner
- Uphold residents' rights, dignity, and confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Arizona Department of Health Services standards
Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Mesa, AZ
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification listed in good standing on the Arizona Nurse Aide Registry
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Minimum completion of a state-approved CNA training program; prior experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is a plus but not required
- Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Demonstrated ability to lift, reposition, and transfer residents safely, with the physical capability to perform job duties requiring standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine commitment to person-centered, compassionate care
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening in accordance with Arizona state requirements and facility policies
- Flexibility to work across assigned LTC or rehab facilities in the Mesa, AZ area on a temporary staffing basis
