Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate, reporting changes to the supervising nurse promptly
• Provide compassionate care and emotional support to residents in long-term care settings, helping to maintain their dignity and quality of life
• Assist rehabilitation patients with prescribed exercises and mobility tasks under the direction of nursing and therapy staff
• Ensure proper repositioning and turning of immobile residents to prevent pressure injuries and promote circulation
• Support safe transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices such as gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and transfer boards
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding support, and hydration monitoring to promote nutritional health among residents
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring proper infection control protocols

Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in San Antonio, TX
