Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation Settings

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene in LTC and rehab environments
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting changes to the supervising nurse promptly
• Support patient ambulation, transfers, and repositioning using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent falls and promote rehabilitation progress
• Provide compassionate assistance with meals and hydration, including feeding support for residents with limited mobility or swallowing difficulties
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified living and care environment for all residents, including routine room tidying and linen changes
• Observe and promptly communicate changes in resident physical or emotional condition to the charge nurse or nursing supervisor
• Assist rehabilitation therapy teams by reinforcing exercise programs and mobility goals established by physical and occupational therapists
• Respond to call lights and resident requests in a timely, courteous manner, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout each shift
• Accurately complete all required documentation in electronic health records (EHR) or paper charting systems per facility protocol
• Follow all infection control, HIPAA, and facility-specific compliance standards to maintain a safe and legally sound care environment

Qualifications & Requirements for Virginia Beach CNA Candidates

• Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Virginia, in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing
• Valid CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider (American Heart Association or Red Cross preferred)
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings is preferred but candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient transfers, lifts, and mobility assistance safely, with or without assistive devices
