Part-Time LPN/LVN Opportunities in Long-Term Care, Home Health & Rehab Across the Greater Orlando Area

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments to patients in long-term care, home health, or rehabilitation settings in accordance with Florida state nursing guidelines and facility protocols
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, health status changes, and responses to care interventions, reporting significant findings promptly to the supervising RN or physician
• Assist with the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse or licensed healthcare provider
• Provide direct patient care including wound dressing changes, catheter care, ostomy management, and other skilled nursing procedures as ordered
• Educate patients and family members on medication regimens, care routines, disease management, and discharge or home care instructions
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary care teams — including physical therapists, social workers, and case managers — to ensure holistic, patient-centered care delivery
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Perform patient assessments and observe for signs of deterioration, pain, or psychosocial needs, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of care
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes, ensuring continuity of care and thorough handoff communication
• Uphold infection control standards, HIPAA compliance, and all applicable Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regulations across all care settings

Qualifications & Requirements for LPN/LVN Candidates in Orlando, FL

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing (or compact state license eligible for Florida practice)
• Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN nursing program recognized by the Florida Board of Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
