Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse Opportunities Across Charlotte's Growing Healthcare Community

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and North Carolina Board of Nursing guidelines
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, health status changes, and care outcomes across LTC, home health, and rehabilitation settings
• Provide direct patient care including wound care, catheter care, tube feedings, and other skilled nursing procedures
• Communicate effectively with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the supervising RN or care coordinator
• Educate patients and family members on medication management, discharge instructions, and ongoing health maintenance strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems used by Charlotte-area facilities
• Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and report changes promptly to the supervising clinician
• Uphold infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements specific to each care environment
• Provide compassionate emotional support and patient advocacy, particularly when working with elderly or post-acute rehabilitation populations

Qualifications & Requirements for LPN/LVN Candidates in Charlotte, NC

• Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (or compact state license with eligibility to practice in NC)
• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing or Licensed Vocational Nursing program
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in long-term care, home health, or rehabilitation settings is preferred but not required — new graduates are encouraged to apply
