Flexible Part-Time Nursing Opportunities Across LTC, Home Health, Rehab & Clinic Settings

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with Maryland Board of Nursing standards and facility protocols
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, health status changes, and responses to treatment in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Provide direct patient care in long-term care, home health, rehabilitation, or clinic environments, adapting to the unique needs of each setting
• Assist with wound care, catheter maintenance, IV therapy (where permitted by scope), and other clinical procedures as directed by an RN or physician
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Observe patients for signs of changes in condition and promptly report findings to supervising registered nurses or attending physicians
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients in LTC or home health settings, promoting dignity, independence, and comfort
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, care plans, and patient outcomes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and caregivers on medication management, treatment plans, and disease prevention strategies
• Adhere to all infection control, HIPAA compliance, and safety protocols established by the healthcare facility and applicable Maryland state regulations

Qualifications We're Looking For in Our Waldorf LPN/LVN Candidates

• Current, active LPN or LVN license in the State of Maryland (or compact state license with Maryland practice eligibility)
• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing or Licensed Vocational Nursing program
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in one or more of the following settings is a plus but not required: long-term care, home health, rehabilitation, or outpatient clinic
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, rotating, or flexible schedules as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient communication skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard nursing documentation practices
• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Waldorf, MD and surrounding Charles or Prince George's County locations
