Part-Time Licensed Practical & Vocational Nurse Opportunities Across Annapolis Healthcare Settings

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with Maryland Board of Nursing standards and facility protocols across LTC, home health, rehab, and clinic settings
• Monitor and document patients' vital signs, health status changes, and responses to treatment plans, reporting significant findings to supervising RNs or physicians
• Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide wound care, catheter care, IV therapy (where permitted under Maryland LPN scope of practice), and other skilled nursing procedures as directed
• Support patients and families in home health environments with education on medication management, nutrition, mobility, and disease self-management
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements
• Assist rehabilitation patients with therapeutic exercises, positioning, and activities of daily living to promote recovery and functional independence
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments in clinic settings, prepare patients for examinations, and support providers during procedures
• Ensure infection control standards, HIPAA compliance, and patient safety protocols are upheld in every care environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and the broader healthcare team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered nursing care

Qualifications & Licensing Requirements for LPN/LVN Candidates in Maryland

• Active, unrestricted LPN license issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing (or a valid Nurse Licensure Compact license recognized in Maryland)
• Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program approved by the state of Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in one or more of the following settings preferred but not required: long-term care, home health, rehabilitation, or outpatient clinic nursing
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a commitment to thorough, timely clinical documentation
• Strong knowledge of medication administration, infection control practices, and Maryland-specific LPN scope of practice guidelines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across flexible and rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
