Temporary RN Opportunities in Home Health, Rehab & Long-Term Care Across the Annapolis Area

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to home health, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings
• Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care treatments, and other prescribed clinical interventions in accordance with physician orders and Maryland Board of Nursing standards
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, functional progress, and changes in condition using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and attending physicians to promote optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and family members or caregivers on disease management, medication adherence, fall prevention, and post-discharge or in-home care protocols
• Perform skilled nursing visits in patient homes across Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas, ensuring compliance with home health agency policies and OASIS documentation requirements
• Support rehabilitation patients through structured recovery programs, tracking progress milestones and communicating updates to the care team and facility leadership
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with CMS, state regulations, and facility-specific policies for home health, rehab, and LTC environments
• Respond promptly and professionally to changes in patient acuity, initiating appropriate emergency protocols or escalation procedures as needed
• Participate in care conferences, shift handoffs, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient safety and satisfaction

Qualifications We're Looking For in Annapolis-Area RN Candidates

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing or a valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license recognized in Maryland
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or equivalent accredited provider
• Experience in one or more of the following settings preferred but not required: home health, inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation, or long-term care/skilled nursing facilities
• Familiarity with OASIS documentation, Medicare/Medicaid home health regulations, or MDS assessments is a plus for applicable settings
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements including background check, drug screen, health clearances, and immunization verification
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for home health assignments requiring travel throughout the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County area
