Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehab Facilities Across the Cincinnati Area
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene in LTC and rehab settings
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting changes to the supervising nurse promptly
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and repositioning of residents using proper body mechanics and facility-approved lift equipment
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to long-term care residents and rehabilitation patients during recovery
- Assist with meal preparation setup, feeding support, and monitoring of nutritional and fluid intake per individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, including routine room tidying and linen changes
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, prioritizing dignity, privacy, and respect in every interaction
- Collaborate with the nursing team, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized rehabilitation and care plan goals
- Observe and report physical and behavioral changes in residents to licensed nursing staff in accordance with Ohio state regulations
- Follow all infection control protocols, HIPAA guidelines, and facility-specific policies to ensure resident and staff safety
Qualifications & Requirements for Cincinnati CNA Candidates
- Active, unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Ohio, in good standing on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of one completed clinical rotation or prior hands-on experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation environment preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening as required by Ohio healthcare staffing regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary nursing team
- Physical ability to perform patient transfers, prolonged standing, and other duties requiring frequent lifting up to 50 pounds with proper technique
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, nights, or weekends in accordance with temporary staffing assignment needs
