Flexible Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation Settings Across Fresno
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support in LTC and rehab units
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature, reporting changes to the supervising nurse promptly
- Provide compassionate repositioning and pressure ulcer prevention care for long-term care residents with limited mobility
- Support rehabilitation patients with prescribed range-of-motion exercises and ambulation activities under the direction of nursing and therapy staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment in compliance with California Department of Public Health regulations and facility infection control protocols
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient and resident call lights, ensuring timely assistance and dignified care at all times
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding support, and hydration monitoring for residents requiring nutritional assistance
- Accurately complete and maintain resident care documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems used by Fresno-area healthcare facilities
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams including nurses, therapists, and social workers to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
- Observe and report behavioral, physical, or cognitive changes in patients or residents that may indicate a change in health status or require clinical intervention
Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Fresno, CA
- Active and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification registered with the California Aide and Technician Certification Section (ATCS)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Current CPR/BLS certification from an AHA or Red Cross accredited program
- Minimum completion of a California-approved CNA training program; prior experience in LTC or rehab settings is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and meet California health screening requirements including TB testing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver respectful, patient-centered care to a diverse population
- Physical ability to perform the demands of the role including lifting, transferring, and repositioning patients as required by the assignment
- Flexibility and reliability to work assigned shifts including days, evenings, nights, or weekends depending on facility scheduling needs in Fresno, CA
