Temporary CNA Opportunities in Long-Term Care & Rehab Settings Across the Raleigh Area
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting in accordance with individualized care plans
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature, reporting any abnormal findings to the charge nurse promptly
- Support safe resident mobility through repositioning, transfers, and ambulation assistance using proper body mechanics and facility-approved lifting equipment
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to long-term care residents and rehabilitation patients, fostering dignity, respect, and trust throughout all interactions
- Assist residents during scheduled mealtimes, ensuring proper nutrition intake, hydration, and adherence to dietary restrictions as outlined in their care plans
- Observe and document changes in resident condition, behavior, or skin integrity and communicate findings accurately to the supervising licensed nursing staff
- Participate in rehabilitation support activities under the direction of therapy and nursing teams, encouraging residents to complete prescribed exercises and mobility routines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment by performing light housekeeping duties and ensuring rooms meet infection control standards
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident call lights and requests, prioritizing urgent needs and escalating concerns to nursing leadership as appropriate
- Adhere to all North Carolina state regulations, facility policies, HIPAA guidelines, and Reliant Healthcare Solutions' compliance standards during every shift
Qualifications & Requirements for CNA Candidates in Raleigh, NC
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification listed in good standing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional healthcare or nursing education a plus
- Any level of hands-on experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation setting is welcome — new graduates and seasoned CNAs are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated ability to work compassionately and effectively with elderly and post-acute patient populations in a team-based nursing environment
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA- or ARC-approved provider, or willingness to obtain prior to assignment start
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and health clearance screening in compliance with North Carolina facility requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate professionally with licensed nursing staff, therapy teams, and interdisciplinary care team members
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, or weekends based on facility needs across the Raleigh area
